Discussing the Blockchain technology at Innovation Talks in Cahul

On March 22, together with entrepreneurs, students, and teachers from Cahul, we participated in a new edition of Innovation Talks at Inotek.

Together with the event speaker, Ernest Bîtca, Chief Technology Officer of the crypto tracking application Toki Tracker, we discussed cryptocurrencies and Blockchain technologies on the European market.

We consider this topic important nowadays due to the transparency and safety of operations in the context of digitization. Simply explained, blockchain is a transparent record of transactions. Also, the blockchain technology behind cryptocurrencies makes it possible to transfer cryptocurrencies peer-to-peer without the use of an intermediary such as a bank or any central authority.

The participants of the Innovation Talks had the opportunity to learn new things, interact, and share their ideas with other people passionate about technology and innovation.

Thomas Alveteg, Deputy Head of the Development Cooperation Section at the Embassy of Sweden in Moldova: “I am very impressed by the presence of a large number of people and the interest of young people in this subject. It is very important to develop the regions as well, not just the capital of the country, and one of the best ways to do this is to promote innovation and entrepreneurship among young people. The collaborations we have with the Inotek Foundation, the university, the city hall, the private sector and other organizations in Cahul are significant. We believe that the city of Cahul has great potential, and people just need to understand that you can create amazing things here and stay to build your future in Cahul.”

Innovation Talks is a networking event dedicated to technological innovation and evolution for the Cahul region community. It is organized by the Inotek Foundation and the Eu4Moldova: Startup City Cahul project in partnership with Europe Café, with the support of the European Union and the Embassy of Sweden in Chisinau.
