The EU supports Moldova in strengthening its rapid response capacity in special missions
To enhance operational capabilities and rapid response in special missions, 30 officers from the “Fulger” Special Police Brigade of the General Police Inspectorate participated in specialized training on the topic “Onboard Intervention System – Type D Vehicle.”
This theoretical and practical session aimed to deepen knowledge and skills in entry, neutralization, and extraction techniques under tactical conditions, using the specific configuration of a Type D vehicle — a means designed for rapid intervention in high-risk situations.

The training session was organized by the Stabilization Platform under the project “Integrated Response Mechanism for Ukraine,” co-funded by the European Commission through the Foreign Policy Instrument (FPI), with the support of the German Government. Its goal was to strengthen the internal security of the Republic of Moldova by enhancing the response capacities of internal security forces in the face of increased hybrid threats.
Recently, the “Fulger” Brigade received two armored vehicles equipped with ladder systems for special interventions. Taken together, the addition of armored vehicles and intervention ladders will significantly increase the operational capacity of special forces to manage crises, enabling rapid and safe interventions in complex environments.
