Interns Conclude Information Sessions with Insights into Legal Drafting and EU Enlargement

The 150 interns participating in the joint Internship programme of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova have concluded their series of information sessions with two presentations focused on essential aspects of public administration and Moldova’s European integration process: the drafting of legal acts and the European Union’s enlargement policy.

The first session focused on drafting legal acts, providing interns with practical insights into the principles and requirements that underpin the preparation of quality legislation. The session was presented by Irina Alexe, Senior Non-Key Expert on Strategic Planning within the “Moldova is Europe – Support for EU Integration” project, who discussed the key elements of the legislative drafting process and the importance of clarity, consistency and evidence-based approaches when developing legal acts.

The second session addressed EU enlargement policy, offering interns a broader understanding of how the European Union’s enlargement process works, its main principles and the path towards EU membership. The session was presented by Martina Spernbauer, Team Leader for Good Governance within the EU Delegation to Moldova.

Throughout the programme, the 150 interns have had the opportunity to engage with public officials, experts and representatives of national and European institutions, explore key areas of public policy and governance, and gain first-hand insights into the reforms shaping Moldova’s future.

The series of information sessions has provided the interns with valuable knowledge and practical perspectives that will support their professional development and help them better understand their role in contributing to a modern and efficient public administration.
