Florești: Science learned through experiments

At the “Miron Costin” Theoretical High School, physics, chemistry and biology are no longer limited to explanations in textbooks. Three science laboratories and a mathematics classroom have been renovated and equipped with modern furniture and equipment, with financial support from the European Union. The total investment in renovation and equipment exceeds €150,000.

Microscopes, experiment equipment, digital tools and robotics kits give students the opportunity to observe, test and better understand what they are learning. Teachers also have more tools for practical lessons, where students’ questions can become the starting point for an experiment.

The modernisation is part of the “Promoting Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All” project, funded by the EU and implemented by UNDP and UNICEF in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research. The support also includes training for teachers and school managers so that the new equipment can be used as effectively as possible.
