Job Opportunity: Translator Assistant in EU4LEIM project
The EU4LEIM project, led by CIVIPOL in partnership with the CPMA (Central Project Management Agency – Lithuania), aims to support Moldova in its alignment with European standards in terms of security and the fight against organised crime. Funded by the European Union, the programme supports Moldovan law enforcement agencies in their reforms, strengthens their operational capacity and promotes cross border cooperation.
Specific results to be achieved by the Translator Assistant: Translation support to the Project
The Translator Assistant will be located in Chisinau starting 1st of June for three years.
Duties: The Translator Assistant reports to the Team Leader. S/he will be responsible for:
- All duties regarding translation aspects of the project as may be assigned by the supervisor.
- To assist the Team Leader and main experts in the organisation of all activities and in the
follow-up of the project regarding translation matters;
- Assist the lead experts in the preparation of the technical steering committees and other
project coordination meetings regarding translation matters;
Qualifications and skills
- Good knowledge of the country’s administrative procedures (visas, registrations, taxes…)
- Excellent in English both spoken and written language;
- Interpretation from Romanian to English and vice versa, at meetings and other oral
conversations
General professional experience
- A minimum of five years of proven relevant experience.
Specific professional experience - Proven experience in working with Microsoft Excel;
- Knowledge of the administration (Ministry of the Internal Affairs is a plus)
- Administrative experience in projects funded by international donors
