Special EU Talks Edition with the Executive Vice-President of the European Commission
On June 10, we hosted a special edition of the EU Talks public dialogue series. The event stood out thanks to its relevant theme and the distinguished guests who engaged directly with the audience.
We discussed education and the future of learning in Moldova and the EU alongside Roxana Mînzatu, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, and Dan Perciun, Moldova’s Minister of Education and Research.

The event was held at Tekwill, but not before our guest took a tour of the Technical University of Moldova (UTM), where she visited a student and faculty innovation fair. At Tekwill, the EU Commission representative also met with high school students passionate about innovation, who showcased creative projects in engineering, robotics, recycling, and reuse — a true display of talent and ingenuity.

After the presentations, Roxana Mînzatu and Dan Perciun joined students and high schoolers in an open dialogue as part of this special EU Talks edition. Together, they discussed key topics in education, such as:
- How to motivate young teachers to stay in the education system
- The role of artificial intelligence in learning
- The reintegration of students returning from Erasmus programs
- How to spark girls’ interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)
We extend our thanks to Viorel Bostan, Rector of the Technical University of Moldova, for his warm welcome and for hosting this inspiring event.
EU Talks is a platform for dialogue between EU representatives and the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
