EU Ambassador Peter Michalko met with the librarians from Straseni district

Over 30 public librarians from Straseni district met in online format to discuss ways to inform better the citizens about EU funded projects and tangible results on people’s lives in their rayon. The EU Ambassador Peter Michalko thanked the librarians for increasing awareness about EU assistance and EU values among citizens, mentioning the initiatives of Local Action Groups (LAGs) and other EU funded projects led by GIZ and KAS partners aiming to improve people’s lives, empowerment and well-being. The mayor of Straseni Municipality, Valentina Casian, also attended the event mentioning the tangible results of EU and its member states supported projects in the community. The event hosted by the EU Information Centre from Straseni brought together librarians, representatives of rural cultural centres and local public authorities.
