    About

    The Euro Clubs and Information Centers of the European Union (EUIC) are an extensive network of information multipliers on the European Union’s contribution to the development of the Republic of Moldova, improving the quality of life of citizens, tangible results of ongoing EU support and opportunities that can be accessed by members of communities where they operate. The Euro Clubs and Information Centers of the European Union contribute to gathering and disseminating knowledge regarding the European topics: policies, institutions, community programs, neighbourhood relations etc. At the same time, they stimulate citizens’ interest in cooperation relations between the EU and Moldova.

    As promoters of the European values, members of the Euro Clubs and EUICs are committed to ensuring free access to information and communication on initiated actions and EU-funded initiatives implemented across the country.

    30 Information Centres and Euro Clubs are operating across the country accounting more than 1.000 active members.

    When has the network of Information Centers and Euro Clubs started its activity?

    The first EU Information Centre was inaugurated by the EU Delegation to Moldova in 2007 in Chisinau. In the following years, the number of Centers and Euro Clubs started to grow being spread out throughout the country, from north to south. Nowadays, in the Republic of Moldova are functioning 16 EU Information Centers and 14 Euro Clubs aimed at disseminating information about the assistance of the European Union and the contribution of its member states to the well-being of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, to get involved in information and awareness activities.

    How do I become a member of an EU Information Center or Euro Club?

    Those interested in becoming members of EU Information Centers and Euro Clubs should identify the center they would like to join. EU Information Centers and Euro Clubs are hosted by institutions such as university, district and local libraries, universities and high schools. You can contact the coordinator of the center you would like to become a member of, who will introduce you to the activities and opportunities for further involvement. Every autumn, with the start of the academic year, are recruited new members. The list of institutions and contact details can be found above. Check out the interactive map.

    What activities do the EU Information Centers and Euro Clubs organise?

    EU Information Centers and Euro Clubs get involved in information and awareness initiatives developed for the general public, become part of the communication campaigns and activities initiated by the Delegation of the European Union, participate in meetings with the Ambassador of the EU Delegation, the Ambassadors of the Member States and high-ranking officials, organise flash-mobs, workshops, discussion sessions and exchange of experience, debates and forums, fairs and initiatives dedicated to Europe Day. The members of the network can think of their own plan of activities that will mark the values of the EU and contribute to the awareness of the support offered to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.

    The network of EU Information Centers and Euro Clubs has over a thousand active members. Being one of them, you have access to a community of young people who share the same concepts, to activities and people who can inspire and contribute to your formation, you can get involved in initiatives you resonate with.
