EU4Youth: Awarding of Moldovan journalists, bloggers and vloggers engaged in the promotion of social entrepreneurship
The best journalists, bloggers and vloggers registered in the competition “Social Entrepreneurship: closer to people, nature, community” have been awarded during an awarding ceremony of media prizes for social entrepreneurship which was organised by the CONTACT Center within the “EU4Youth project – Unlocking the potential of young social entrepreneurs in Moldova and Ukraine (EUnlocking)”, funded by the European Union through the EU4Youth initiative.
In March 2021, the CONTACT Center announced the launch of the competition “Social Entrepreneurship: closer to people, nature and community,” which encouraged journalists, bloggers and vloggers to write about people and organisations, that initiate and develop social business, and promote their stories success, but also their impact in solving social problems. The purpose of this competition was to promote the social economy, its possibilities, but also to stimulate the media’s interest in this subject.
For 2 months, 36 materials were registered in the competition, and 16 authors, who received the highest score from the jury, were awarded.

The competition was organised within the EUnlocking Project, which contributes to stimulating the social entrepreneurial potential of young people in Moldova and Ukraine by creating a favourable ecosystem for social enterprises, as well as by inspiring and supporting more young social entrepreneurs in developing and supporting their innovative solutions to promote social inclusion and a sustainable environment in both countries. The project is funded by the European Union through the EU4Youth initiative.
