European Union is helping Civil Society Organisations to Grow

IREX Europe is providing an organisational assessment followed by tailored in-house training and consultancy to five civil society organisations across Moldova under Civil Society Organizations Capacity Development project, funded by the European Union.

A call for proposal was published this summer with focus on small and medium-size CSOs, with preference given to those outside Chisinau or working with beneficiaries across Moldova, including the most far-fetched regions.

After a thorough evaluation process and in-depth interviews with pre-selected applicants, the first four organisations were selected. Each organisation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding and organisational capacity assessments have begun. These assessments will be followed by the development of strategy plans for each organisation and tailored training and support to implement them. 

Calls have also been launched to support advocacy campaigns and grassroots events across the country which will take place later in the year.

Civil Society Organisation Capacity Development is a regional project run by IREX Europe and funded by the European Union. The project aims to strengthen civil society organisations and improve their operational and organisational capacity.
