“Ghidapis Grup” Beekeeping Cooperative: joint action for harnessing the potential of local bees

Located in the city of Strășeni, the “Ghidapis Grup” cooperative is a model of partnership between several bee-keepers. Replacing imported biological material with a qualitative native one is one of the core goals behind the coop’s activity. To help achieve this goal, the company was supported in the framework of the EU-LEADER Flagship Initiatives Fund 2020.

The APIDEA mating hives acquired through the Fund will ensure favourable conditions for the growth and multiplication of queen bees, while also significantly reducing the work of beekeepers. Creating a technological unit for breeding and mating native queen bees will supply the cooperative with qualitative and resistant biological material, adapted to the climate conditions of the Republic of Moldova.
