The European Union is helping shape a cleaner, more sustainable future for Moldova.
Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jan Dusik, Deputy Director-General of DG CLIMA at the European Commission, to Europe Café. During his visit, he held two meetings - one with representatives of civil society and another with the business sector representatives.

The mission of DG CLIMA in Moldova focuses on:
– Exploring how Moldova can implement EU climate legislation;
– Identifying necessary investments and key challenges;
– Supporting the country in building capacities and securing funding for green projects.

Together, we are making great strides toward a greener future. Jan Dusik’s visit to Europe Café was part of his official trip to the Republic of Moldova.

Climate Action

Responsibilities

The Directorate-General for Climate Action (DG CLIMA) leads the Commission’s efforts to fight climate change and turn the EU into a climate-neutral and resilient society. It develops and implements policies and legislation to help the EU reach its 2030 climate targets and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in a way that enables clean growth for the EU economy, is an integral part of its industrial strategy, and ensures a social and fair transition for all. DG CLIMA promotes action to make the EU better prepared for growing climate-related risks in order to strengthen societal resilience and protect people and prosperity. It works with partners across the world to encourage and support climate action by other countries and regions.
