EaP COVID-19 Solidarity Programme: pandemic restrictions turned into opportunities for entrepreneurs
Fewer customers, stagnant sales, suspension or discontinuation of business – these are just some of the problems small and medium-sized entrepreneurs have faced since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The restrictions imposed by the pandemic have caught many entrepreneurs unprepared to find an alternative to continue working. The Dreamclass platform, created online, is the solution proposed by the Dreamups team for those who own a business and want to transform it to the digital dimension.
Dreamclass includes five practical and in-depth masterclasses on current topics for entrepreneurs, especially in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, when many businesses have moved online. Each masterclass is a 4-5 hour video course taught by one or two experts in the field.
The Dreamclass platform – the first of its kind in the Republic of Moldova – was created with the support of the European Union, through the project “Eastern Partnership – COVID-19 Solidarity Programme”, implemented by People in Need Moldova.
The five masterclasses cover topics such as sources of finance for business development, legality in online trade and exports for small and medium enterprises, and digital marketing. Entrepreneurs can also learn about e-commerce and how to sell their products online.
Tatiana Doroshkevich, one of the first Dreamclass users, was pleased with the platform: “I wanted to open an online shop, but I realised that the legal aspects are not familiar to me. I signed up on the Dreamclass platform because I want to expand my knowledge in this field, but also to participate in changing the way of doing business in our country, i.e. the transition to online”.
Entrepreneurs from all over the country can register for their desired masterclass at https://dreamclass.md/.
