Premiere: great Maestro Eugen Doga launched a song dedicated to the European Union on the occasion of Europe Day 2021

“Ode to Europe” is the title of the song composed by Eugen Doga in May 2021, accompanied by the lyrics of Ianos Turcanu. The song was launched on the occasion of Europe Day 2021, and may be watched on the YouTube channel of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova.

 “For me, the European Union is a large family, where understanding, unity, peace and love prevail. Moreover, continued solidarity of the European Union with the Republic of Moldova and the EU support provided especially during pandemic times, have proved that we, the people from the Republic of Moldova, are not alone. The song “Ode to Europe” symbolises my hope and that of the people of good-faith in the Republic of Moldova of aspiration to the European Union. Let the Ode to Europe be the Ode to Joy to live and feel as the European Union citizens do!” Maestro and composer Eugen Doga declared.

Eugen Doga began working on the “Ode to Europe” in early May 2021, while the song was launched at the end of May.

By “Ode to Europe” the great Maestro Eugen Doga has solemnly conveyed an eulogium to the European Union through strong and beautiful emotions. Both the European Union Anthem “Ode to Joy” and “Ode to Europe” genuinely capture the solidarity and unity of people for a better and brighter future.  

Ode to Europe may be watched on the platforms of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova and is part of the cultural and awareness raising events dedicated to Europe Day 2021.

Europe Day 2021 activities carried out throughout the month of May have gathered more than four million views.
