Project Writing Training for Media Professionals Held at Europe Café
The European Union has always supported independent media in the Republic of Moldova, encouraging journalists to shed light on key issues affecting the country and society, including challenges that need urgent solutions.
To further strengthen the media’s ability to carry out its work effectively, we organised a dedicated training session at Europe Café, led by Romanian media expert Ioana Avădani.
On 15 and 16th of March, more than 20 journalists from leading local and national media outlets took part in a workshop focused on writing grant proposals.
During the training, participants learned how to:
- Identify relevant grant opportunities for media organisations available in Moldova;
- Gain a deeper understanding of the process and specifics of preparing grant applications for EU donors;
- Develop the skills needed to draft strong project proposals for donors operating in Moldova;
- Prepare a standard grant proposal package that meets the requirements of ongoing calls for proposals.
This training comes at a crucial time, as the European Union steps up its support for democratic processes, civil society, and independent media in the Republic of Moldova.
