On June 19, the Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN), with the support of the European Union, organised the first large-scale social and green enterprise expo in Georgia at the Expo Georgia exhibition space in Tbilisi, as part of the EU4Youth project on ‘Social Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development (SEED) for Green Growth’. The exhibition, which was attended by more than 400 people, attracted entrepreneurs from seven different regions of Georgia.

The exhibition was attended by enterprises operating throughout Georgia and active in social and environmental business, with a focus on promoting youth development, sustainable tourism development and green economy.

Visitors had the opportunity to get acquainted with 61 different enterprises and to taste and buy locally and ecologically produced items. In addition, on-site master classes were offered on waste reuse, painting, yoga, and more.

The Social and Green Enterprise expo was part of the regional conference on ‘Green Economy and Inclusive Growth in the South Caucasus’, held within CENN’s ongoing projects, the EU-funded SEED project, ‘Sustainable Forest Management for Climate Resilient Rural Development’, supported by the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), and the USAID-funded ‘Digital Caucasus’ project.
