The EU Talks series continues. On Friday, 15 March, together with the team from the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, we visited Căușeni.

We discussed the European integration process, the opportunities the EU brings to local communities, and the EU’s Economic Growth Plan for Moldova.

The event brought together representatives of the local administration, entrepreneurs, and active members of the community. It was a valuable opportunity to gain a better understanding of the EU’s support for regional development, education, infrastructure, and the local economy.

Participants had the chance to ask questions and engage directly with the EU Ambassador to Moldova, Jānis Mažeiks.

The meeting aimed to address key topics of concern to the community and local leaders, including:

  • The development and implementation of EU-supported projects in Căușeni
  • Local development in the context of Moldova’s EU accession negotiations
  • The role of civil society in community development
  • Economic growth through EU involvement

Our visit to Căușeni was part of the EU Talks series – a platform for open dialogue between EU representatives and the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
