To inform and raise awareness about Team Europe support, as well as in the eve of the Eastern Partnership Summit, the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova launched the communication campaign „Meet Team Europe”. The Campaign will reflect the assistance provided by the EU and its Member States together with European financial institutions to the people from the Republic of Moldova. It will show-case success stories about local programmes and projects implemented with EU support, as well as bilateral support from EU Member States. During the campaign the people will have the opportunity to find out more details about the EU Member States and their Ambassadors, as part of Team Europe.

Jānis MAŽEIKS, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova: “We are launching the Campaign ‘Meet Team Europe’ to create opportunities for the people from the country to find out more about what Team Europe is, how it works and what it is doing for the benefit of the citizens from the Republic of Moldova. We invite you to get to know better the EU Members States and their Ambassadors and learn more about the objectives of Team Europe initiative which supports partner countries. Team Europe has mobilized resources to ensure a rapid and impactful support to the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. Over the last two years the EU and its Member States remained close to the citizens of the country. With support provided by Team Europe, the Republic of Moldova has the necessary tools to strengthen its resilience during this difficult period, as well as overcome long term consequences.”

The European Union and its Member States, as Team Europe, have provided support and assistance to the people from the Republic of Moldova during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as from a long-term perspective of economic recovery of the country.

Team Europe initiative was created as a result of challenging conditions in 2020 in the context of COVID-19 pandemic, as a united European response to the major needs arising in partner countries. ‘Team Europe’ combines the collective development resources of the EU and its Member States — including their implementing agencies.
