The European Union will offer €20 million to the Republic of Moldova for managing the refugee crisis

The European Union will offer €20 million to the Republic of Moldova for managing the refugee crisis and providing immediate assistance to Ukrainian citizens. The announcement was made by the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi, who was visiting Chisinau with High Representative / Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell. €15 million will be provided to the Republic of Moldova for managing the flow of refugees, and €5 million will be provided in the form of humanitarian aid for Ukrainians who have found shelter in the Republic of Moldova.
