The third edition of the joint EU – Government of the Republic of Moldova Internship Programme, was officially launched today, 16 April, in the Academy of Economic Studies: over 100 students of its faculties attended the event.

The event was opened by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Dorin Recean, who encouraged young people to attend the Internship Programme.

The speakers who shared their career stories, motivating young people to join the public administration, included Aurica Butnari, Programme Manager at the European Union Delegation and Pawel Wojtunik, EU High Level Adviser on Anticorruption.

Two graduates of the previous editions of the Internship programme, who are currently employed in the public administration, shared their experience as interns in the previous editions and of employment in the civil service. The event was moderated by Irina Cruceru, Programme Manager of the EU High Level Advisers’ Mission in the EU Delegation.

Students, master students and young graduates can become interns in the two similar programmes: a joint one of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova (with a duration of two months in the summer time); and the one financed from the national budget (with a duration of three months). The EU-For Young People internship will be covered by European funds.

Applications to the joint Programme will include a CV and cover letter, submitted to stagii@eu-advisers.md by 15 May.

The Internship Programme edition this year is launched in the context of the European Year of Skills.
