Call for expression of interest in the Republic of Moldova: Trainees on Resource Efficient and Cleaner Production (RECP)

EU4Environment is looking for professionals interested to be trained on the application of the RECP methodology in Small and Medium-Sized manufacturing Enterprises (SMEs) in Moldova.

The RECP Trainees will act under the direct supervision of the National Coordinator of the RECP Project in Moldova, and in close cooperation with the technical experts of the RECP Training and Assessments Partner  of UNIDO (under the EU4Environment Action) to undertake RECP assessments for selected demonstration manufacturing enterprises. The interested professionals will receive training and coaching sessions from an international trainer team to carry out the RECP in-plant-assessments of the demonstration companies, following the RECP methodology studied during the training program. The training sessions will be conducted in parallel with the application of practical knowledge to develop the RECP in-plant-assessments, interspersing training and technical visits. The assessments will be conducted at the selected demonstration companies willing to introduce RECP measures in their business operations.

The RECP in-plant assessment’s assignment will follow a systematic analysis based on the RECP methodology to optimize the  use of resources in the demonstration companies. The role involves data analysis and assessing the inefficiencies, technical, economic and environmental evaluation of measures to reduce the negative environmental impact of the existing production practices, and to help the demonstration enterprises improve their efficiency. The assignment also includes coaching activities which are provided to the companies’ staff, preparation of the technical reports on the assessment findings and identified measures, and the monitoring of the implemented measures in the demonstration companies.

As such, the RECP Trainees will be expected to contribute to the overall promotion of the RECP demonstration Project in Moldova.

QUALIFICATIONS:

– Professional profile in engineering (chemical, industrial, environment, mechanical or related), environmental sciences, industrial ecology or a related field is a requirement.

– At least 1 year of professional experience in service delivery in the industrial sector, in the fields of environment, productivity, quality systems or related subjects.

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate ideas, both verbally and in writing.

– Working knowledge of English is required.

This activity is undertaken by the national team of UNIDO under the EU4Environment Action[1] funded by the European Union. The team consist of a National Coordinator and and RECP Training and Assessments Partner in Moldova. The national team will handle the application, selection, interview, and contracting of the trainees.
