Moldovan entrepreneurs trained in starting and managing a business with EU support
Around one hundred aspiring entrepreneurs from central regions of Moldova took part in a three-day training course for start-up entrepreneurs, held in Orhei from 10 to 12 February.
The event was organised under the EU-funded project “Moldova is Europe. Support for EU Integration”, in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, the State Tax Service, the Customs Service and the Monitorul Fiscal FISC.md platform.
Participants from the districts of Orhei, Telenești, Criuleni, Sîngerei and Rezina learned how to register a company, navigate public procurement procedures, pay taxes and social contributions, and carry out import and export operations. The training also addressed everyday challenges faced by entrepreneurs, including labour legislation, workplace safety, taxation, accounting and effective business communication.
The training in Orhei marked the fifth stage of the “Start-up Entrepreneurs” programme, launched in 2025, which has already trained more than 450 participants nationwide.
The next training sessions will take place in Căușeni, Edineț, Ungheni and Comrat between April and August 2026.
