“Where’s the money?” – a new campaign sets off through Moldova in search of European investments

September 10, 2026 — The European Union Information Centre, Europe Café, is launching the “Where’s the money?” campaign in September—a journey through communities across the Republic of Moldova to show where and how European Union investments are visible in daily life.

Between September and October 2026, the campaign will reach nine districts and the municipality of Bălți: Hîncești, Telenești, Orhei, Rezina, Briceni, Călărași, Florești, Cimișlia, UTA Gagauzia, and Bălți.

Content creators, artists, and local voices will visit EU-supported projects and initiatives, talk directly with beneficiaries, and discover what has changed in their communities.

The campaign starts from a simple question frequently heard when discussing European support for the Republic of Moldova: “Where’s the money?” This time, the answer will not be sought in reports and presentations, but directly on the ground—in businesses, schools, infrastructure projects, local initiatives, and, above all, in people’s stories.

“Through ‘Where’s the money?’ we want to bring the European Union’s support closer to people and make it easy to understand. We aren’t just saying that European investments exist, but we are inviting people to discover them wherever they produce real change. It is a campaign about transparency, about results that can be seen, and about the people who can best tell what impact these investments have had in their communities,” says Ina Prisăcaru, communication campaign manager at the Strategic Communication and Media Support Project.

The visits will be documented through video materials, interviews, and beneficiary stories, which can be followed online at eu4moldova.eu and on the channels of Europe Café and “Where’s the Money”.
