BioBrichet Grup: Ten Times More Production with European Union Support

06/11/2026

In the village of Isacova, Orhei district, a local business is turning wood sawdust into biofuel. With the support of European funding, BioBrichet Grup has modernised its production process and significantly increased its production capacity.

The company produces biomass briquettes and wood sawdust pellets, offering an alternative fuel made from materials that can be put to good use.

An important step in the company’s development was made possible through a grant of MDL 2 million provided by the European Union through the Organisation for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA). With this funding, the company purchased and installed a new production line equipped with modern machinery.

The investment has significantly increased production efficiency. Thanks to the new equipment, two employees can now process ten times more raw material than before. The modernisation allows the company to make more efficient use of time and resources while strengthening its competitiveness.

The story of BioBrichet Grup shows how EU support can help businesses in Moldova’s communities invest in modern technologies, expand their production capacity and make better use of available resources.
