Capture26: Europol launches 2026 law enforcement photo competition – open to Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine

09/06/2026

Europol, the law enforcement agency of the European Union, has opened submissions for Capture26, the 2026 edition of its annual international law enforcement photo competition.

This year’s theme is #OneSecurity, reflecting the principle that keeping Europe safe is built through coordination, trust, and shared responsibility. Entrants are invited to capture what this cooperation looks like in practice.

The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers working for law enforcement agencies in EU countries and those with Europol Agreements, including Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.

First held in 2009, the competition has since attracted entries from police, customs, border guard, and security services across Europe and beyond.

The deadline for applications is 14 August.

Submissions can be made via the entry form on the Europol website.

Headquartered in The Hague, the Netherlands, Europol’s mission is to support its Member States in preventing and combating all forms of serious international and organised crime, cybercrime and terrorism. Europol also works with many non-EU partner states and international organisations.
