Celebrate International Youth Day at Europe Café Open Doors Day!
Have plans for 12 August? If you’re curious, full of ideas, or simply looking to spend a summer day with other young people, discover EU initiatives, and learn more about opportunities available to youth, we’d love to welcome you to Europe Café!
To celebrate International Youth Day, we’re opening the doors of the European Union’s main information centre in Chișinău – a place where European opportunities meet the aspirations of young people across Moldova.
Under this year’s theme, “Different Contexts, Shared Aspirations,” we’ll celebrate the idea that, wherever they come from in Europe, young people share the same hopes: quality education, meaningful projects, new friendships, and a European future.
Together with our friends from the Euro Clubs and the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs), we’ve prepared a lively programme packed with games, interactive activities, and inspiring stories from young people who have travelled, studied, or started their own businesses with the support of the European Union.
Here’s what’s waiting for you on 12 August:
10:00–11:00 | Europe Café Tour & Lemonade
Get to know us over a refreshing glass of lemonade while we show you everything Europe Café has to offer! (Coffee is on us too- but on a hot August day, lemonade might be the better choice.)
11:00–12:00 | EU Wheel of Fortune
Spin the wheel, answer fun and easy questions about Europe, and win exciting prizes!
12:00–2:00 PM | Board Games Corner
Relax with board games and team up with the Young European Ambassadors.
3:00–5:00 PM | Creative Workshop
Design and paint your own canvas tote bag, personalize it with your favourite message, and take it home with you.

Enjoy photo spots throughout the day, meet inspiring people who can tell you all about EU scholarships, projects, and opportunities, and soak up a welcoming atmosphere.
We want Europe Café to be a place where you can grab a coffee (or a lemonade), ask questions, discover new opportunities, and feel that your voice matters in shaping Moldova’s European future. Participation is free, but please register in advance so we know how many tote bags to prepare:
