The Ministry of Education and Research and UNICEF, with the support of the European Union, launch EduResurse, the national platform for quality educational resources
UNICEF and the Ministry of Education and Research, with financial support from the European Union, launched EduResurse, a national digital platform designed to provide teachers, pupils and parents with free access to quality educational resources in one space.
EduResurse is designed not only to expand access to educational materials, but to strengthen the capacity of Moldova’s education system to improve learning outcomes and develop the skills children will need for the country’s European future.
The platform brings together textbooks, lesson plans, presentations, exercises, interactive simulations, educational videos, exam preparation materials and other resources aligned with the national curriculum. It covers preschool, primary, gymnasium and lyceum education and can be accessed from computers, tablets and mobile phones through a web browser.

“We want to make it easier for every teacher to find the materials they need for their lessons, while ensuring that every pupil has access to resources that help them understand, practise and make progress. Through EduResurse, we are bringing these materials together on a single platform and providing practical support for learning, both at school and at home. We encourage teachers to contribute their own resources and share their suggestions for improvement, so that the platform becomes as useful as possible,” said Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research.
The launch comes as Moldova continues to advance reforms aimed at improving the quality, equity and inclusiveness of education and strengthening the country’s capacity to respond to demographic, technological and economic change.
“Moldova has been modernising its education system for more than a decade. Important reforms have brought the system closer to European standards and practices. Today’s launch is another step forward, helping translate these reforms into tangible improvements for teachers and learners. Education and human capital are at the heart of Moldova’s European journey. As the country advances towards EU membership, investing in its people is an investment in its European future. Ultimately, education is a promise to the next generation. A promise that we believe in their potential and will give them the knowledge, skills and opportunities to build Moldova’s future,” stated Iwona Piórko, Ambassador of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova.

As the country’s economy becomes increasingly shaped by digitalisation, artificial intelligence and changing labour markets, future prosperity will depend increasingly on the knowledge, skills and adaptability of its people.
“EduResurse is not simply a digital platform. It is part of the enabling infrastructure of education reform — and, through that reform, an investment in Moldova’s human capital development,” said Deyana Kostadinova, UNICEF Country Representative in Moldova. “Digital education should not be understood simply as the introduction of new tools. It is part of a wider transition towards an education system capable of supporting every child and lifelong learning for a changing world,” added Deyana Kostadinova.
EduResurse responds to a practical challenge identified across the education system: many useful educational materials existed across different projects and institutions but were fragmented and difficult to access. The new platform consolidates these resources into a single national repository and makes them available free of charge.
The development process included the identification, review, selection, organisation and migration of educational materials developed by UNICEF, the Ministry of Education and Research and other partners.
Most resources can be accessed without registration. Registered users can also track the materials they have accessed, time spent on the platform and completed resources. These functions can support pupils in managing their learning and help parents better understand their children’s learning needs.
Teachers and education professionals can also submit resources to the platform. Materials undergo a review process to ensure quality and alignment with national educational requirements.
The platform is intended to evolve over time and to support the wider modernisation of Moldova’s education system.
EduResurse is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation not only between public institutions and educators, but also with universities, development partners, foundations and the private sector. Future partnerships could support the development of new educational content, digital and AI literacy resources, accessibility solutions, innovative learning tools and professional resources for teachers.
Teachers, pupils and parents are encouraged to explore the platform at eduresurse.gov.md, use the available resources, contribute materials and provide feedback to support its continued development.
About the programme
EduResurse was developed by UNICEF in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research within the programme “Advancing Quality Education and Lifelong Learning Opportunities for All”, with financial support from the European Union. The development of the platform was supported with a budget of approximately EUR 34,000 (around MDL 696,000).
The programme supports Moldova’s efforts to strengthen the quality, inclusiveness and resilience of the education system and to expand lifelong learning opportunities for children and young people.
