EU and French Ambassadors Meet with Mayors from Anenii Noi District

The Ambassador of the European Union, Iwona Piórko, and the Ambassador of France to the Republic of Moldova, Dominique Waag, met with mayors from Anenii Noi District at the invitation of Ion Berzoi, Mayor of Bulboaca.
They discussed the challenges facing local communities, EU projects supporting villages, and the role of local authorities in the Republic of Moldova’s European integration process.
The mayors also accompanied the two ambassadors on a tour of Bulboaca’s tourist attractions, which included the railway station, with a history spanning more than 150 years; a grapevine said to have been planted in 1918 and still growing; and Castel Mimi, founded in 1893.
