Informal discussions with EU Ambassador, Danish Ambassador and interns

The 60 interns of the Joint Internship Programme of the European Union and the Government of the Republic of Moldova have completed their induction period and are already involved in the daily work of the institutions where they are doing their internship.
Today, they met with the Ambassador of the European Union, Iwona Piórko, and the Ambassador of Denmark, Søren Jensen, to talk about their internship and to ask the two diplomats how they started their own careers.
The discussion then expanded to the European future of the Republic of Moldova and how young people can contribute to building it themselves. Their questions covered diverse and current topics:
⚡ What alternative energy sources can be developed, including nuclear energy?
📢 How can the benefits of European integration be better communicated?
🏙️ How can urban development be extended beyond the capital?
🛡️ How can disinformation be combated more effectively?
🇪🇺 How can the EU accession process be accelerated?
💬 The discussion also focused on the role of the EU Ambassador as a strong supporter of the Republic of Moldova and, at the same time, as a critical and constructive partner when necessary. The ambassadors also shared their own countries’ experiences, lessons learned along the way, and mistakes that can be avoided.
