Journalists from the Republic of Moldova are invited to participate in a study visit to Brussels
The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova is organising a study visit to the European Union institutions in Brussels from 15 to 19 November 2026 for journalists from the Republic of Moldova. The programme will provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about the work of the European Union institutions, the enlargement process and relations between the EU and the Republic of Moldova, as well as to engage directly with representatives of European institutions and organisations.
The study visit will take place in the context of the EU Enlargement Forum 2026, to be held in Brussels on 15-16 November under the theme “Wider Europe – Stronger Europe”. The Forum will bring together representatives of European institutions, EU Member States and candidate countries, as well as representatives of civil society, the business community and the media, to discuss the future of the European Union’s enlargement process. Topics on the Forum’s agenda include the strategic and geopolitical dimensions of EU enlargement, democratic resilience, the contribution of civil society and local authorities, the economic opportunities arising from enlargement, reconciliation and preparations for a wider European Union.
For journalists from the Republic of Moldova, participation in the Forum will provide an opportunity to follow the debates on EU enlargement first-hand and gain relevant information and insights to support their media coverage of the Republic of Moldova’s European integration process.
The study visit programme will also include meetings with representatives of European institutions, media organisations, NGOs and members of the Moldovan diaspora in Brussels. Prior to their departure for Brussels, participants will attend a training session in Chișinău focusing on the institutional structure of the European Union and EU foreign policy.
All costs associated with participation in the programme will be fully covered by the European Union.

This initiative is part of a series of study visits organised by the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Moldova since 2015. The programme aims to promote knowledge of European best practices and contribute to the professional development of Moldovan journalists by facilitating direct engagement with European Union institutions and their communication processes.
