Strengthening Government Capacity on Strategic Communication and Information Resilience in the Republic of Moldova

Project Description
This action aims to enhance the capacity of key governmental and non-governmental institutions and professionals in Moldova to foster societal cohesion and reinforce resilience against information manipulations and interference. It supports state structures, experts and communities, particularly in the regions, through improved strategies, enhanced expertise and more structured and agile cooperation mechanisms to address malign information activities. Through targeted training, the development of strategic instruments and improved coordination networks, the Action contributes to a more resilient information environment and facilitates public access to reliable, impartial and fact-based information.
Specific Objective
The main objective of this Action is to strengthen the coordination and effectiveness of public, media and civic mechanisms that work to prevent, detect and address disinformation and foreign information manipulation and interference. In the longer term, the Action contributes to ensuring that citizens in Moldova have access to reliable, impartial and fact-based information.
Expected Results
Output 1. Improved tools and methodologies that guide strategic communications and action against disinformation by key stakeholders in Moldova.
Output 2. Enhanced knowledge and know-how of key governmental and non-governmental stakeholders in strengthening strategic communication, improving societal cohesion, and countering malign information and external interference.
Output 3. Improved inter-institutional coordination networks and practices that enable a swift and effective response against disinformation and external interference.
