INCRES - INCreasing Public RESilience to disinformation and EU positive awareness

Project Description
The INCreasing Public RESilience to disinformation and EU positive awareness (INCRES) project is aimed at raising public awareness and understanding of European integration and fostering positive attitudes and support for the European path among the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, with the focus on negative or misinformed audiences. Thus, INCRES, being implemented by TF, aims to create the necessary cohesion around EU accession and to reduce the consequences of polarisation and the impact of the pressure of public disinformation, which affects the EU image in the Republic of Moldova. Given the EU integration aspirations of the Republic of Moldova, its civic actors need to be able to connect with peers from other countries in the region, and especially within the EU, to access expertise and know-how on promoting societal cohesion around EU integration. Equally important for civic actors in the Republic of Moldova is to remain connected to peers from within the EaP region facing similar hybrid threats from Russia. INCRES is designed to respond to the needs of civic actors in the Republic of Moldova, ensuring financial support through its grantmaking component, but also to offer access to broader regional networks and advocacy support given the TF track record in promoting European values and the Enlargement agenda.
Specific Objective
1. To empower civil society in order to be effective in enacting positive change and democratic reforms in the Republic of Moldova.
2. To enable civil society to effectively enhance cohesion around EU accession, increase public awareness, and reduce the consequences of polarisation and disinformation.
3. To enhance multi-stakeholder cooperation and exchange through civil society platforms and networks.
Expected Results
1. Increased capacity of CSOs to inform citizens and disseminate information on European integration.
2. Increased capacity of CSOs and media to counter propaganda and disinformation.
3. Increased confidence and support of citizens of the Republic of Moldova in the European path of the country.
