Team Europe Initiative ‘Sustainable Food Systems’
Project Description
The Team Europe Initiative ‘Sustainable Food Systems’ has been launched in June 2025, with financial support from the European Union (EU) and the Czech Republic. The project is implemented by the Czech Development Agency (CzDA) and Solidarity Fund PL in Moldova (SFPL in MD) in partnership with Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Center (LRATC).
The project seeks to enhance the resilience of Moldovan farmers and rural communities to climate change and other external shocks by addressing key vulnerabilities in the country’s agricultural sector. Moldovan agriculture is highly susceptible to droughts, floods, land degradation, and market instability, which compromise productivity and food security. In response, this action promotes sustainable farming practices and apples a value chain approach with a strong orientation towards the business sector.
