We can make a difference by getting involved in the initiatives to combat the climate change. The European Union, its
Member States and the financial institutions under the Team Europe initiative support the green and sustainable
transition of the Republic of Moldova by advancing our joint efforts for cleaner air and water resources, better
waste management, more energy efficiency, or the protection of biodiversity. For this, the EU makes best use of its
funded actions, implemented in the Republic of Moldova, such as EU4Environment Green Economy, EU4Energy,
EU4Business, EU4Climate and recently launched EU4Environment Water and Data.
Let’s become the drivers of change, to set the example and become role models of a sustainable lifestyle for a greener and more prosperous Moldova.
This event organised on 1 June as part of the European Green Week 2022 aimed to show how the EU-funded EU4Environment Programme contributes to biodiversity conservation in the Eastern Partner countries.
A distinguished panel of speakers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine took stock of progress in, and existing and emerging challenges to, implementing biodiversity and ecosystems’ conservation measures. The discussion also highlighted the role communities can play in restoring biodiversity and discuss support provided by the EU-funded EU4Environment to biodiversity conservation in the EaP countries.
The “Towards Green Transformation of the Republic of Moldova” event aims to show how the EU4Environment programme contributes to the EU ambition for a zero pollution and clean environment, biodiversity conservation and promotion of circular economy in the Republic of Moldova.
