Investing in new jobs and innovative business

The European Union boosts the potential of the digital economy, supports jobs creation in the ICT field and strengthens innovation-based businesses in order to increase the attractiveness of Cahul region. EUR 6.8 million are provided to develop the first regional “Startup City” in the south of the Republic of Moldova.

Initiatives such as establishing authentic partnerships between the private and public sectors, creation of EU4Innovation Centre, identifying opportunities to grow businesses and digital startups, were presented during the launch event of the project “EU4Moldova: Startup City Cahul”. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented in partnership with Sweden, in Team Europe spirit, and the National Association of ICT Companies (ATIC).
