MOLDOVA YOUTH FORUM 2024: Empowering Young People for Active Involvement and Effective Governance

MOLDOVA YOUTH FORUM 2024: Împuternicirea tinerilor pentru o implicare mai activă și o guvernare eficientă

The Moldova Youth Forum (MYF) is celebrating its third edition, set to take place on June 29-30, 2024, at the “Vasile Alecsandri” National Theater in Balti. This year’s central theme is “Empowering Youth for Good Governance,” aimed at encouraging the active participation of young people in the policy-making process.

The forum will feature panel discussions and various practical workshops designed to inspire collaboration among participants and contribute to the formulation of public policy proposals addressing societal challenges. With 300 participants, including 30 international attendees, the event promises a diverse and enriching experience.

The intensive two-day program includes workshops on topics such as digital innovation, sustainable development, inclusion, education, entrepreneurship, and mental health. There will also be group discussions on Moldova’s EU integration and the promotion of youth-led advocacy actions. The forum will culminate in a session focused on formulating and presenting policy proposals.

Keynote speakers include:

  • Mihai Popșoi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs
  • Andrei Spînu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development
  • Siegfried Muresan, Member of the European Parliament
  • Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament (online special message)
  • Dan Perciun, Minister of Education and Research in Moldova
  • Dr. Pilvi Torsti, Director of the European Training Foundation
  • Michael Gahler, Member of the European Parliament (MEP)
  • Stephen Nix, Senior Regional Director, Eurasia, IRI

The Moldova Youth Forum 2024 underscores an ongoing commitment to empower the youth of the Republic of Moldova, providing them with a platform to forge connections and influence national policies, contributing to a prosperous future for society.

We believe that truly effective youth policies are characterized by the high level of involvement of young people—not only as recipients but as valuable resources in the decision-making process.
