With European Union support, laboratory diagnostic testing kits for animal diseases are made available to the National Veterinary Reference Laboratory. This includes testing kits for identification of Salmonella, Classical and African Swine fever, Avian influenza, Newcastle disease, Foot-and-mouth disease, or Blue tongue disease, among others.

- Strengthening the testing capacities of the Laboratories of the National Agency for Food Safety.
- Support to obtain the right for the Republic of Moldova to export products of animal origin to the European Union.

- Increased surveillance, testing and detection of animal diseases by the National reference laboratory, according to Annual monitoring plans.
