
European Peace Facility Assistance on Cyber Defence
Project Description
The cyber defence component of the EPF assistance measure will strengthen the cybersecurity capabilities and resilience of the Ministry of Defence and Moldovan Armed Forces. The measure is provided through two projects. The projects aim to increase the ability of the Moldovan Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence to detect intrusion to the information systems and to counter cyber-attacks. Two projects with a total cost of EUR 4 million are implemented by the e-Governance Academy.
Specific Objective
1. Enhance the cybersecurity capabilities and resilience of the Ministry of Defence and the Moldovan Armed Forces by strengthening their ability to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats.
2. Improve cyber defence readiness through specialised training and exercises, equipping personnel with the necessary skills to counter cyber-attacks.
3. Strengthen technical infrastructure by ensuring the procurement and deployment of cybersecurity equipment, enhancing the overall security of Moldova’s defence information systems.
