
Gagauzian Modernisation Convention (GAMCON)
Project Description
The Gagauzian Modernisation Convention (GaMCon) aims to strengthen civil society participation in policymaking, enhance cooperation between ATU Gagauzia and Moldova’s central government, and support local development initiatives. The project provides a structured platform for policy dialogue through the GaMCon Debate Forum, engages youth in governance through the Gagauzian Young Leaders Program (GYLP), and funds community-driven projects via the Local Development Support Program. These initiatives foster collaboration among key stakeholders, promote democratic governance, and contribute to the modernisation of Gagauzia.
Specific Objective
1. Facilitate structured dialogue between local and national authorities, civil society, and private sector representatives to improve regional cooperation.
2. Empower young leaders with the skills and opportunities to actively participate in decision-making and community development.
3. Support local development projects that address social, economic, and environmental challenges through targeted funding and capacity-building initiatives.
