On the first evening, the event brought together the ambassadors of the EU member states and friends of the EU who share the same values of peace, democracy and freedom. The next day, we repeated the screening of the film for the general public. In this way, we wanted to mark the resistance and courage of the Ukrainian people after almost two years of cruel war.

In their film “War Road: Irpin”, the Moldovan journalists Viorica Tataru and Andrei Captarenco, captured people’s emotions, being in risk zones.

On 24 February, we will mark two years since Russia initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. This non-anniversary prompts us to reflect on the importance to support Ukraine and its people. Ukraine has proven the power of a nation and a people fighting for themselves first and foremost. But also for everything that we believe in: freedoms and democracy.
