The President of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia visited Europe Café

The President of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia, Edvards Smiltēns, along with the Latvian Ambassador in Chisinau, Uldis Mikuts, and other Latvian officials, visited the most important information centre of the European Union, Europe Café. Here, the Delegation met the representatives of civil society from the Republic of Moldova. 

The participants of the meeting engaged in a dynamic dialogue on the contribution of local NGOs to the implementation of justice reform, fight against corruption and the European integration of the country. Latvian officials described the representatives’ contribution as highly valuable. 

Civil society representatives said they will continue to provide support in implementing the reforms, which are vital for the start of negotiations in the EU accession process.
