“Gender Equality through the lens of the camera” photography Boot Camp in Ungheni and Cahul, with EU support

Two photo camps were organised in Cahul and Ungheni districts “Gender Equality through the lens of the camera” with a strong emphasis on photography practice and trainings around gender equality.

The trainings were led by both national and international experts and consisted of visits to different places, photo shoots, communication with women and men from the region and trainings regarding gender equality and media literacy. 

The main objective was to encourage young people to become gender equality and human rights advocates in the society, using photography and visual tools, while also giving them the opportunity to try out and master portrait shooting, storytelling photography and photo exhibitions.

The boot camp was organised by Media Guard Association in partnership with Ziarul de Gardă under EVA project “Strengthened Gender Action in Cahul and Ungheni districts”, funded by the European Union and implemented by UN Women in partnership with UNICEF.
