World Clean Up Day 2022 in Straseni

In many of our cultures, September is the month when we clean our houses and prepare our homes for the winter. Our planet is our home. We call on each and everybody’s action to make this slogan real.

Every year, in September, the World Cleanup Day unites millions of volunteers, governments and organisations to tackle the global waste problem and contribute to building up a new and sustainable world.

This year, the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova joined the global initiative and teamed up with EU Member States diplomats, civil society, Young European Ambassadors, representatives of the local EU Information Centers and other volunteers to set an example by direct involvement in action to build a waste-free world. The team joined hands and celebrated World Clean Up Day on 16 September 2022, in ‘Pinilor’ Park from Straseni municipality. Europe Café was there with its team and gave a helping hand to over 200 volunteers.
