International Dialogue on Women’s Role in Security
Europe Café has always supported gender equality, which is why we were pleased to offer space for the International Dialogue on Leadership and European Values, organized by the Association of Women in Police. The event brought together high-level representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Chișinău – the Ambassadors of Sweden, Japan, Denmark, and the Chargé d’Affaires of the Norwegian Embassy.
The main topics addressed included:
- the essential role of women in building a democratic and safe society;
- international support for gender-sensitive reforms in the internal affairs sector;
- the integration of European values into security systems;
- the importance of collaboration between institutions and civil society.
The panel provided a platform for exchanging strategic visions, inspirational ideas, and real commitments toward a more equitable and inclusive system.
The event took place within the framework of the “Strengthening AFP Capacities” project, implemented by the Association of Women in Police with the support of Sweden and DCAF – the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance.
