Travellers’ Opinions Matter: Border Police Launches Campaign to Promote Integrity at the Border

29/10/2026

From 5 to 23 October 2026, the General Inspectorate of Border Police is conducting an information and awareness-raising campaign to promote integrity and prevent corruption, targeting both the institution’s employees and travellers.

An important component of the campaign is an anonymous survey that allows travellers to share their views on this subject. The questionnaire can be completed online via the following link: https://forms.gle/gubqc3mUUPjW1tVg7. Participation is anonymous, and responses will be collected without any data that could identify respondents. Every response helps us better understand travellers’ experiences and identify ways to strengthen transparency, integrity and trust in border services.

At the same time, Border Police employees are taking part in information sessions on the mechanisms and channels available for internal whistleblowing regarding legal violations and reporting cases of undue influence. The campaign also promotes the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ specialised anti-corruption hotline – 1520.

Informational materials developed under the EU4Borders Security – Moldova project will be displayed and distributed in Border Police subdivisions and at border crossing points, ensuring that information on reporting mechanisms is accessible to both employees and travellers.

The Border Police encourages travellers to take part in the survey and share their opinions. Their involvement helps strengthen a transparent, trustworthy border service that responds to people’s needs.

Any suspicion of corruption can also be reported via the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ specialised anti-corruption hotline – 1520.

The EU4Borders Security – Moldova project is funded by the European Union and implemented by the Central Project Management Agency (CPVA) of Lithuania, the PL Solidarity Fund and the International Organization for Migration. The 36-month project, launched in June 2025, supports the strengthening of institutional capacities and the alignment of the Republic of Moldova with European standards in integrated border management. More information about the project is available on the official platform: www.EU4Moldova.eu.
