Cazaclia: From a family apiary to honey and artisanal chocolate

SweetLand started with an apiary and a family’s desire to sell honey directly to customers in Cazaclia. Grigori Cîvîrjîc took care of the bees, while other family members gradually took on production, administration, sales and promotion.
An initial grant of €7,000, obtained through the EU-funded SARD programme, helped the family purchase a bottling line, a honey-processing machine and a trailer for transporting beehives. Subsequent funding supported the development of the production space, product certification and diversification of the range.
The business thus moved from selling plain honey to products with nuts and dried fruit, and later to artisanal chocolate. The support provided not only equipment, but also the opportunity to prepare products for sale in shops.
“We set up a room that meets all the required standards and certification requirements. Without this money, it would have been much more difficult,” said Inna Cîvîrjîc, co-founder of SweetLand.
