Selemet: Support for Older People and Persons with Disabilities

With support from the European Union, a social canteen was opened in Selemet. For older people and persons with disabilities, access to food and services close to home is essential.
The European Union supported the project “Improved and Diversified Community Social Services in Selemet”, carried out with the involvement of the “Baștina” Public Association and the local administration. The initiative aims to improve community services for vulnerable people.
The project is funded by the EU and co-financed and implemented by the Soros Foundation Moldova, Keystone Moldova and the “Institutum Virtutes Civilis” Public Association.
This European investment forms part of a broader local effort in which authorities and community organisations work together to maintain and develop social services.
