EU Green Week is an annual opportunity to debate European environmental policy with policymakers, leading environmentalists, and stakeholders from Europe and beyond. This year’s edition focuses on the European Green Deal – the EU’s sustainable and transformative growth strategy for a resource-efficient and climate-neutral Europe by 2050.

To overcome the environmental challenges, the European Green Deal will transform the EU into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy, ensuring:

Three important aspects of green transformation in times of crisis – circular economy, zero pollution, and biodiversity, will be in the spotlight of the current edition of the EU Green Week. We can make a difference by getting involved in the initiatives to combat the climate change. The European Union, its Member States and the financial institutions under the Team Europe initiative support the green and sustainable transition of the Republic of Moldova by advancing our joint efforts for cleaner air and water resources, better waste management, more energy efficiency, or the protection of biodiversity. For this, the EU makes best use of its funded actions, implemented in the Republic of Moldova, such as EU4Environment Green Economy, EU4Energy, EU4Business, EU4Climate and recently launched EU4Environment Water and Data.
