European Commissioner Dombrovskis set for first visit to Moldova on 1-2 October
On 1-2 October, Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity, Implementation and Simplification, will pay his first official visit to the Republic of Moldova.
On the first day, the Commissioner will meet President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, members of the Government, and representatives of the business community. Discussions will focus on the Growth Plan for Moldova, investments, and the next steps toward integrating the country’s economy with the European Union’s Single Market.
At 15:45, Commissioner Dombrovskis and Prime Minister Tofan will hold a joint press conference.
Additionally, the Commissioner will meet with the Governor of the National Bank of Moldova, Anca Dragu, and address the National Bank’s annual conference on economic policy coordination during the European integration process.
On October 2, the Commissioner will meet with representatives of the parliamentary Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance, to highlight and discuss Moldova’s efforts to align its economic policies with those of the EU.
