Discover the EU investments in Bălți!

We search, ask questions and talk to local residents

Where are the European investments in the municipality of Bălți? In public transport, in schools, and in medical services. We set out to find them, and we did! To name just a few: a funding package of 2.4 million euros in EU grant, alongside an EBRD loan, supports the purchase of trolleybuses and the modernization of street lighting. At the “Dimitrie Cantemir” High School, the energy-efficiency renovation has improved conditions for over 1,000 students, teachers, and staff, while at the Bălți Clinical Hospital, European Union funds supported the modernization of the emergency department.

European support also reaches families for whom traveling to therapy is difficult. The Mobile Team brings specialists directly to the homes of children with disabilities, and the center created by “Autism Hope” provides spaces and equipment for therapy and socialization. At the “Eugeniu Coșeriu” Library, the cultural center offers ethnic communities a place for meetings, activities, and learning.

Through the “Where is the money” (Unde-s banii) campaign, we track European investments across 10 districts and regions of the country, discovering what these projects have funded and how they are changing people’s lives. In Bălți, we are talking about energy-efficient buildings, electric transport, social services, and support for entrepreneurs.
